The Southwest
Paddlers Association promotes canoeing and kayaking in southwestern
Nova Scotia, Canada. Much of the area is wilderness, with many lakes
and rivers. In mid-summer, when rivers are generally low in other
parts of Nova Scotia, the Quinan and lower Tusket rivers offer
excellent paddling opportunities after the dam at Slate Falls is
raised. Coastal kayaking is great at any time.
