The Southwest Paddlers Association promotes canoeing and kayaking in south-western Nova Scotia, Canada. Much of the area is wilderness, with many lakes and rivers. In mid-summer, when rivers are generally low in other parts of Nova Scotia, the Quinan and lower Tusket rivers offer excellent paddling opportunities after the dam at Slate Falls is raised.

Update: Slate Falls dam is now open
